Whose dream are you living?

Are you living to impress others?

This is the question that I had to sit down and ask myself a couple of years ago. 

I'd worked extremely hard to break the chains and constructs bestowed to me by the society that we live in enough to be one of the first to talk about freedom based and location independent entrepreneurship. 

I'd grabbed my small son, packed a couple of suit cases and traveled around the world, as a single parent when it just wasn't a popular thing to do. As a matter of fact everyone thought I was crazy. 

I built a multi 7 figure business when everyone told me that it was impossible. 

I'd clearly shaken off all connections to what people wanted me to be right?!?! Wrong!!! I took those off and then put on the chains of what I thought my ideal clients wanted from me. 

I put on the chains of wearing my money and showing it as opposed to what I knew I truly desired because my country girl dreams of historic homes, fruit trees, tomato plants and such just didn't "look" rich enough right?!!?

I found out a couple of years ago that though there are some impressed by the other things, MY peeps, love the quirkier things too. I spent years impressing people I didn't even want as clients. 

Whew. Sit with that. 

I did deeper into this this week on The Frequency Fix Podcast as I sit with my truth of buying into the dreams that society put on me.

As much as I was able to break away from the corporate constructs, being an entrepreneur is a pressure of its own. Buying things to impress you, the consumer, but really I didn’t care about. Ultimately I fell under the pressure to prove to others that I was who I said I was by showing it.

The older I’ve gotten the more I have realized that those truly aligned with me have never cared about those things either.

You too, are an experience person.

You too, enjoy finer things in life, but for you. Not for others. As some of the best moments are often off camera and thus off social media.

So in todays episode I am talking more about what my plan is to cultivate MORE of that, planning for 45, 50 and even 60 year old version of me, and much more!!!!
